Cupolex is a patented structural dome made from recycled plastic. Each dome easily inter-connects to create a self supporting structure acting as a permanent form work.
Cupolex provides an absolute barrier and reduces potential for rising damp with no capillary action possible. The system can provide reductions in the volume of concrete, reinforcing steel and labour required. While Cupolex is innovative, the technology is as old as the great cathedrals and structures built thousands of years ago and still stand today.
Manufactured in NZ and Australia the components are 100% locally sourced recycled plastic. While there is often no waste, due to it’s clever modular design, any offcuts can be put into domestic recycling bins. Easily stackable, 1 pellet fits appx 50m2 of components. An average slab may only need 3-4 pellets onsite, compared to a truck and trailer load of polystyrene that blows all over town.
The structural integrity of a Cupolex slab makes even the most difficult site and soil a simple challenge to solve.
